Courthouse to Firestation
Oscar and Jim is showing tonight (Friday 28th August) in the Courthouse Center for the Arts in West Kingston Rhode Island, as part of a Best of the RI Film Festival programme. On Sunday 30th August O&J is playing alongside The Young Victoria in Windsor, Berkshire, England at the Firestation Arts Centre. Unfortunately for her, the Queen is at Balmoral, so she’ll miss her local screening.
First festival, First Prize
We couldn’t stay for the awards on Sunday and flew back over Saturday night. Jet-lagged and bit deflated on Monday night when this drops in the inbox…![]()
Running mates...
We screened on Wednesday night, in a shorts package called Becoming Human. Of our running mates I particularly enjoyed the bravura directing of Greg Helvey’s Kavi, the tenderness of Marco Gianfreda’s Io Parlo and the pin-sharp polish of Adam Wimpenny and Joe Hill’s Roar. Three good films right there.![]()

Across the pond
We’re showing O&J tomorrow night at the Rhode Island International Film Festival. Paul, Charlie & I fly out of Heathrow tomorrow morning, should be in Providence for a late lunch. Anybody in New England fancy coming along - we’d love to see you. The details are here.
