High Society
Oscar and Jim is off to Newport, Rhode Island, or possibly Providence - anyway we are an “early acceptance” for the Rhode Island International Film Festival, August 4 - 9. It’s classed a ‘biggie’ by withoutabox (the online festival clearing house) and the short competition is an Academy Award qualifier. We can’t allow yourself to get excited about this… and then we go ahead and get excited anyway. It’s wonderful to have a US premiere in the diary - many thanks to George T. Marshall and his team of reviewers - we are all thrilled that the movie ‘travels’.
(Newport was, of course the setting for High Society… I’m more of a Philadelphia Story man myself).

wow, this is so exciting!! i'm from newport so i'll get to go! my parents donate B&B rooms to festival people so we get a bunch of free tickets - but more importantly, some one really cool could potentially stay at my house! hey, Harry Lloyd, if you're coming, request to stay at the Commodore Perry Bed and Breakfast - we'll take good care of you!
